Matt’s background is in the performing arts. He’s worked in theatre production and more recently as a design and construction consultant for the broader arts sector. He now heads up capital developments and estates for a national children’s cancer charity, drawn to their work after his son tragically died from a brain tumour as a baby.
The hospice holds a special place in Matt’s heart as it’s where his Mum spent her final days. It’s a place where he and his family forged many precious memories before she died here 2018. He’s always had an admiration for the place, the people and the work that they do, so when the opportunity to volunteer as a trustee presented itself he grasped it!
Matt lives near Keswick with his wife, two small children and two patient cats.
