Local families need specialist nursing care today, can you help?

Right now, demand for hospice care has never been higher. Rising costs mean stretching every penny to keep services running and to pay for specialist nurses. As a charity, we need our community more than ever; we need your help.

In your life, you may be touched by hospice care, whether through your neighbour, your loved one, or even yourself. Hospice care is there for everyone, whenever it is needed; we are here for you and your family. £27.13 is how much it costs for one hour of nursing care. How many hours could you gift?

Your loved ones could feel comfort and dignity in their final days if you choose to support your local hospice nurses.

Sharron and Terry

Terry’s partner, Sharron, was cared for at the hospice.

Terry shares, “I thought it was only about managing end-of-life in the short term, and I expected it to be like a hospital… But having now experienced superb hospice care for both of us, I realise how important it is and what a hugely supportive experience it can be for the patient and their loved ones.”

“The service and care provided by the fantastic team depend on its supporters for 80% of its income. Please don’t hesitate to do something, anything – every little helps.” – Terry

Thank you for Sponsoring a Nurse!

It is an honour to provide this service to our community, free at the point of delivery, to people in North Cumbria and beyond. Your gift will provide pain relief for a patient. Comfort, dignity and time, feeling safe and supported. You allow our nurses time to listen, to hold a hand, and to calm fears. Even though we meet people during their most difficult times, you ensure we’re here with arms outstretched, offering a kind of comfort blanket.

Without your help, we could not continue to offer a vital lifeline to local families in need – thank you!
