Bronwyn Kerr Trustee

Bronwyn Kerr

Bronwyn became a Trustee in 2021. She moved to Cumbria on retirement from the NHS in 2018. After training in paediatrics and clinical genetics in Australia, she moved to the UK in 1993 to take up a position in the NHS. Her NHS roles included Consultant Clinical Geneticist, and Associate Medical Director, the latter post with a particular responsibility for patient safety and quality of care. She is an Honorary Clinical Professor of Paediatrics and Clinical Genetics at the University of Manchester.

Many genetic disorders result in a decreased lifespan. Bronwyn’s interest in family directed and integrated end of life care stems from hearing the stories of many families’ experiences.
