Virtual Animal Show to raise funds for local hospice

A Carlisle based charity are encouraging Cumbrian animal lovers to get involved with their very first Virtual Animal Show.

Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice recently launched their Virtual Animal Show – All Creatures Great and Small to help raise vital income for the local charity. Whether you have a dog, cat, sheep or cow, the hospice is encouraging people to sign up for the fundraising event.

Whether you live in the town with your pet dog or in a remote area of the Lake District with a flock of sheep, everybody can join the fundraising events. The Virtual Animal Show includes seven categories, including Dog, Cat, Farm Animals and Any Other Animals, so there really is something for everybody.

Entry to the Virtual Animal Show is £3 per entry and all people have to do to take part is sign up and submit a picture or video of their favourite animal. All animals entered will be included in the public vote between Friday 26 and Monday 29 June on the Eden Valley Hospice Facebook page.

The money raised from entries to the Virtual Animal Show will help Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw to provide the highest standards of care, support and activities to local people with life limiting illnesses.

As key workers, both the clinical and support staff teams at Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw are here for the local community. The hospice is doing all it can during these times to continue to provide care to those in need, whilst following strict guidelines.

Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw is open and continuing to provide care and compassion to local people with life limiting illnesses. The hospice is there for the local community and still supporting the NHS.
