Annual charity golf day raises thousands in aid of local hospice

An annual charity golf day, hosted by Interserve, has helped to raise over £5,000 to be shared between two Cumbrian charities.

On Friday 26 July a host of fundraising golfers took part in the Interserve Golf Day at Eden Golf Club. The day of fundraising was hosted in aid of Eden Valley Hospice and Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland.

The kindness and generosity of everybody who took part on the day helped to raise a grand total of £5,011.64, with each charity receiving £2,505.82. the money raised on the day will help both charities to provide the highest standards of care and support to local adults and families with life limiting illnesses.

Natalie Bingham, Corporate Relationship Coordinator at Eden Valley Hospice, said

“We are delighted that Interserve continue to support us with their annual Golf Day. Without the support from local businesses like Interserve the care we provide simply wouldn’t be possible. Everybody who took part in the Golf Day really are helping to make a huge difference.”
