We have eight single en-suite rooms available, plus a four bedded room. Each single room is equipped with an electrically adjustable bed and we have an assortment of specialist mattresses that are used to ensure the comfort of the patient. A nurse call system is in place, as is piped oxygen in every room.
Each room has its own flat screen Freeview TV with a built in DVD player, Radio and CD player. The rooms are bright and airy and look out onto our beautiful garden. In the summer it is possible to move the bed into the garden, so our patients can enjoy the outside environment from the comfort and safety of their own bed.
The room also has a large reclining patient's chair, small table and visitors chairs, as well as a sofa-bed should relatives wish to stay overnight. We also have a twin bedded Visitors Room available should this be required, whether for a stay or just somewhere to relax.
Our four bedded room enables patients to enjoy some companionship with fellow patients and many a giggle or laugh is heard emanating from this area of the Hospice. As with the single rooms each bed is equipped with a special mattress, CD player and a TV with individual headphones. The four bedded room is a popular alternative to the single rooms and whilst it does not enable relatives to stay overnight with the patient, the support patients can give each other can be of great benefit.
