Children are more than welcome to visit their loved ones at the Hospice. We appreciate that children can get bored easily during visiting, so we have some board games, toys and a games console available. Also, one of our members of staff can speak to Jigsaw (our Children’s Hospice) to see if there’s anything we have to entertain the children while they’re here.
We just ask that all children are accompanied by an adult and it is the responsibility of this adult to ensure their safety and supervision. Also, please do not allow children to run up and down the corridors for the sake of our other patients and their families.
The Care Team can explain aspects of illnesses with the children if required, and we also offer counselling and bereavement support.
