Your hospice stories

Alex has volunteered at our Lonsdale St shop in Carlisle for a number of years picking up new skills and building some great relationships in the process.

In 2017 Brian Duffell spent his final days in the hospice and his wife Margaret and the rest of the family were blown away by the care, support and friendliness they were shown by all the Eden Valley Hospice team. Brian’s stay in the hospice allowed Margaret, family and friends to make memories that will last for the rest of their lives.

Carol has worked as a Spiritual Care Volunteer here at the hospice for over 4 years and her passion for the role which enables her to have such an impact on patients and their families is clear to see.

Suzanne Knapton is a volunteer in our very popular Lanes Bookshop helping to sustain and improve our very successful retail operation which is key to raising vital funds.
