Barrie Mark Scougal has 30 years experience working for himself, building and leading a range of successful businesses. For the past 19 years he owned and operated a personal training business in Carlisle, which he sold earlier this year.
Over the last four years, Barrie has also worked as a fitness business development coach, supporting gym owners across the globe to grow profitable, well-run businesses that deliver real impact in their communities. He brings strong commercial awareness, practical leadership experience and a focus on sustainability and good governance.
Barrie has a personal connection to Eden Valley Hospice, following the care and support they provided to his father in the final week of his life. Since then, he has raised thousands for the hospice and continues to support fundraising initiatives alongside his role as a Trustee.
