Your fundraising

Do something you love and support your hospice!

Every fundraiser starts with an idea. No matter how big or small, your support helps us provide compassionate care to local adults, children and families when they need it most.

From bake sales and quizzes to sponsored challenges and birthday collections, the best way to fundraise is to do something you love or do something to challenge yourself!

We’re here to support you every step of the way.

Get involved – your way

You don’t need to be an expert fundraiser to make a difference. You just need an idea – we’ll help with the rest.

Popular fundraising ideas include:

  • Coffee mornings, bake sales or afternoon teas
  • Sponsored walks, runs or cycle rides
  • Quiz nights, bingo or race nights
  • Dressdown days or workplace challenges
  • Birthday, anniversary or celebration fundraising
  • Community events, fairs or seasonal activities

Whether you already have something planned or are just starting to think about it, we’d love to hear from you. Email fundraising@edenvalleyhospice.org or call 01228810801

We're here to support you

When you choose to fundraise for us, you won’t be doing it alone

  • Your Fundraising Pack is full of ideas, tips, practical guidance, advice on fundraising best practice and staying safe and legal.
  • We can help set up online fundraising pages (e.g. JustGiving or social fundraising) and provide sponsorship forms, collection buckets, banners, posters and other fundraising materials.
  • We’d love to support on the day, and we will always try to make it if we have the capacity.
  • We want to help you spread the word and can support via social media.

Our aim is to make fundraising feel achievable, enjoyable and rewarding. If you have any questions, our friendly Fundraising team is on hand to answer all your questions.

For schools and groups

Fundraising together is a brilliant way to bring everyone together whilst supporting local adults and children with life-limiting conditions. We can support your school and nursery, youth group or club, Scout pack, Guide group and other uniformed groups.

Fundraising ideas for groups and schools:

  • Nonuniform days
  • Sponsored silence, readathons or sporty challenges
  • School fairs, discos or talent shows
  • Team challenges or interclass competitions
  • Seasonal fundraising (harvest, Christmas, summer events)

We can support you with ageappropriate ideas, resources, assemblies or guidance, and help make your fundraising activity successful and memorable for everyone involved.

You can start small…

Our home money boxes are a great, easy way to raise money for your hospice. Once full, you can drop it off with us, take it to one of our charity shops or to your local branch of the Cumberland Building Society.

If you’d like a home money box, please let us know!

You can go big!

Whether you want to tick an item off your bucket list or complete a challenge with your family, friends or work colleagues, challenge events provide you with the opportunity to create memories which will last a lifetime.

We have a number of exciting challenge events taking place every year, but there are also lots of companies that host open overseas fundraising challenges. Here are just some of the companies below:

If you have something else in mind, please get in touch and let us know.

However you choose to support… Thank you!

By choosing to fundraise in your community, you’re helping ensure local people can continue to receive compassionate care and support when it matters most.

Every cake baked, mile walked and pound raised truly makes a difference.

Thank you for being part of our community!
