Our pop-up café has reopened its doors this week at Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice.
The café has return this November after being flooded with local support when we first opened our doors in August.
All proceeds from the cafe will again go towards helping Eden Valley Hospice & Jigsaw continue to provide compassionate, specialist care for patients of all ages across our community.
Delicious homemade cakes, coffee, and lunches are being served up to the community with a warm welcome from today until Friday.
The cafe, located in the Living Well Hub on our grounds, is open from 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday and there is no need to book. All the delicious treats on offer have been lovingly prepared by the hospice’s fantastic catering team.
Beverley Armstrong, Hospitality Lead, said: “We are so thankful for the support we received at our pop-up café in August. But what stood out for me was the connections and the real sense of community.
“I can’t quite put into words how special it felt to have so many wonderful supporters of our hospice step into the café, and what was special was that every cuppa, every piece of cake and every lunch order helped to raise much needed funds for our Hospice.”
Every visit to the cafe will help make a difference in the lives of local families when they need it most. Currently 80 per cent of the cost of care at the hospice is funded by the generosity of the community. A donation of just £27.13 would provide an hour of specialist care for a patient, but every contribution – large or small – helps ensure no one faces the end of life alone.
The pop-up café closes on Friday 29th November 2026.
