Charity Golf Day

We’re once again inviting you and your colleagues to join Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice to support local families people and families this year.

By signing up to take part in our Charity Golf Day held at Carlisle Golf Club on Friday 5^th July 2024, not only will you have a great day filled with friendship and connections, but you will also be providing compassionate care for men and women throughout Cumbria at a time when they need it the most.

You will be given a tee off time, and make your way around the course 1-18 and wait with trepidation to know where you place!

First tee off will be at 9am and will go as late as we need to, expecting the last teams back at the 19^th by around 7/8pm at the latest to celebrate the day.  The more teams we have taking part, the more vital funds are raised for our local families.

The format is in a team of 4, Stableford, and the best 2 scores on each hole count towards your total.

Everyone is welcome! Teams can be men’s, ladies, or indeed mixed, and handicaps on course are Men’s MAX handicap 24 and Ladies’ MAX handicap 36.

Prizes will be given for 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd, along with ‘Nearest to the Pin’ and ‘Longest Drive’ also up for grabs.

There is always food and drink available at the clubhouse throughout the day but we would encourage you to re-energise yourself at the Eden Valley Hospice halfway house where all proceeds and donations in return for refreshing (or warming) drinks and snacks will go directly to supporting patient care at your local hospice.

As well as registering, you can also sponsor elements of our day, helping to cover the costs of hosting the event and ensuring more money goes directly to the care we provide.

In return for your generosity we will display your logo with thanks for your kindness at your chosen hole/green, in the clubhouse, be given the opportunity to share promotional material for goody bag on the day*(subject to availability and numbers), your logo included on the scorecards and of course thanks on social media to supporting businesses.

We will of course have a raffle available to enter on the day which will be drawn after the last team tee’s off. There will be some great prizes on offer, all kindly donated by local businesses to support the day.

Huge thanks must go to everyone who is helping to make this day a success, including Carlisle Golf Club for hosting, and our Trustee Mark Duffell, who co-founded the day with his good friend and club member Duncan Carter to ensure care is here for local families now, and into the future.
