How will the day work?
You will be given a tee off time, and make your way around the course 1-18 and wait with trepidation to know where you place.
First tee off will be at 10.30am, with preferred start off times between 10.30am to 13.00pm and 13.00pm to 16.00pm.
We’re expecting the last teams back at the 19thĀ by around 7.00 to 8.00pm at the latest to celebrate the day.Ā
The more teams we have taking part, the more vital funds are raised for our local families.
The format is in a team of four, Stableford, and the best two scores on each hole count towards your total.
Everyone is welcome! Teams can be menās, ladies, or mixed, and handicaps on course are Menās MAX handicap 24 and Ladiesā MAX handicap 36.
Prizes will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd, along with āNearest to the Pinā and āLongest Driveā also up for grabs!
We will of course have a raffle available to enter on the day which will be drawn after the last team teeās off. There will be some great prizes on offer, all kindly donated by local businesses to support the day.
Refreshments
There is always food and drink available at the clubhouse throughout the day but we would encourage you to re-energise yourself at the Eden Valley Hospice halfway house where all proceeds and donations in return for refreshing (or warming) drinks and snacks will go directly to supporting patient care at your local hospice.
Sponsorship
As well as registering, you can also sponsor elements of our day, helping to cover the costs of hosting the event and ensuring more money goes directly to the care we provide.
Options for sponsorship are:
- £100 per hole sponsorship
- £100 per green sponsorship
- Ā£250 āLongest Driveā Trophy
- Ā£250 āNearest to the Pinā Trophy
In return for your generosity we will display your logo with thanks for your kindness at your chosen hole/green, in the clubhouse, be given the opportunity to share promotional material for goody bag on the day*(subject to availability and numbers), your logo included on the scorecards and of course thanks on social media to supporting businesses.
Huge thanks must go to everyone who is helping to make this day a success, including Carlisle Golf Club for hosting, and our Trustee Mark Duffell, who co-founded the day with his good friend and club member Duncan Carter to ensure care is here for local families now, and into the future.
