Supported by Lowther Castle & Gardens:

We invite you to join us for Cumbria’s first-ever Glow Trail and help raise much needed funds for Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw with the kind support of Lowther Castle & Gardens.
This brand new event offers the chance to come together as a community to remember, reflect and celebrate loved ones whilst enjoying live entertainment and glow stations along the way.
Kindly hosted by Lowther Castle & Gardens, setting off at sunset, participants will gently walk two laps of the trail with areas of the iconic garden illuminated, creating a magical, glowing atmosphere through-out the evening.
Along the trail, you’ll experience:
From 6.00pm, Lowther Castle & Gardens gates will open, giving you plenty of time to register, glow yourself up with paints, accessories, grab a light snack and drink before the walk which starts at 8pm.
Entry for the event is £20 per person, with under 12s going free. Your entry fee will help cover the cost of running the event, and we would love to ask for you to fundraise as much as you can. Raising just £50 will help provide compassionate, specialist care and support to local families when they need it most – every pound you raise will make a real difference.
Please be aware that this event may include strobe lighting. The event is suitable for all ages and is off-road buggy and wheelchair accessible, but participants should be aware that it includes uneven woodland and gravel paths in low light areas. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
To support you every step of the way, we’ll provide:
Your support helps us provide specialist care, comfort and emotional support to people living with life-limiting conditions, and to the families who love and care for them. From pain management to counselling, hospice care looks after the whole family.
“It’s an honour to care for people in our north Cumbria community at the end of their lives. We’re here with arms outstretched, offering a kind of comfort blanket for people during their most horrendous moments.” – Jess Harrington, Hospice Nurse
Your support ensures that people in Cumbria can live as long as possible, as well as possible – surrounded by the very best care.
