Trustees

Are you ready to use your expertise to make a meaningful impact in your community?

We are seeking passionate and committed individuals to join us as Trustees.

Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice provide compassionate care for adults, children, and young people with life-shortening conditions, as well as vital support for their families.

As we move through the second year of our five-year strategic plan, this is an exciting period of growth and development for our hospice and we are delighted to invite new Trustees to join our dedicated team.

While we welcome applicants from all backgrounds, we are particularly interested in individuals with recent experience and skills in Human Resources and Finance. We also strongly encourage applications from people who reflect the diversity of the communities we serve.

As a Trustee, you will:

  •  Work as part of the Board to ensure our charity continues to deliver and develop high-quality services.
  • Help shape the strategic direction of the hospice in partnership with fellow Trustees and the Senior Management Team.
  • Uphold our strong values-based ethos, ensuring we remain well-governed and compliant with all legal and financial obligations.

Our Board meets at least four times a year and is responsible for the overall governance and strategic development of the hospice. Trustees also participate in focused sub-committees, act as ambassadors at community events, and are expected to complete both online and face-to-face training.

If you would like an informal discussion before applying, please contact the Chief Executive and/or Chair of the Board at peopleservices@edenvalleyhospice.org

Please note the role will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
