Corporate Challenge - Can you be nifty with your fifty?
Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw have launched a new initiative encouraging local businesses to get their entrepreneurial thinking caps on.
The concept of the Corporate Challenge is simple – The hospice gives you £50 and asks you to turn it into as much as possible using your ingenuity and entrepreneurship. There are absolutely no guidelines as to the kind of activities you choose to get up to, as long as it’s ethical and legal!
Natalie Bingham Corporate Fundraiser at Eden Valley Hospice explains more: "The Corporate Challenge is a very new idea for Eden Valley Hospice, but it’s an idea that has worked very well for other hospices across the country. Not only is it a great way of raising funds, it’s a fantastic opportunity to re-connect with colleagues and work together on fundraising ideas and projects."
So far the hospice has two businesses signed up to this year’s challenge, Scott Duff & Co Solicitors and Halifax. Branch Manager of Halifax Andrew Brown says; "The hospice is a fantastic local charity that provides care for local people at times of extreme difficulty. As a community based bank we wanted to help raise funds for such a vital cause". The branch has lots of activities planned to raise as much money as possible and have already kick-started their fundraising with an in-store cycling challenge, which proved to be a great success.
Cheryl Corson, Director at Scott Duff & Co explains; "At Scott Duff & Co we place great importance on raising money and awareness for great causes. Being a Cumbrian firm with local people working for us, we always try our best to support great local causes which is why joining in with the Eden Valley Hospice Corporate Challenge was a perfect way for us to do this. We really want to do our very best to raise as much as we can for this amazing charity who do so much wonderful very valuable work in our local community, and we also hope to have a bit of fun along the way.”
