OUR CARE

Outreach and Wellbeing

We’re here to support you!

Our outreach and wellbeing services are all about bringing specialist support to people living with life-shortening illnesses—wherever they are.

We know that not everyone can easily come to the hospice, so we’re reaching out into the community to make sure more people get the care and advice they need, closer to home.

Over the year, we have some great opportunities to expand our regular events, offering even more peer support. We’re also teaming up with other organisations to make an even bigger impact.

We’d also love to connect with existing groups that support people with degenerative illnesses. By working together, we can share our expertise and offer:

Practical advice on living with a palliative illness and how our hospice can help.

Specialist guidance on managing challenging symptoms, including: eating well & nutrition, coping with breathlessness, planning ahead for future care and managing nausea & vomiting.

If you’re part of a group supporting people with a long-term condition and think a visit from our team would be helpful, please reach out to evh.jigsaw@nhs.net—we’d love to chat!

Family Support Days

We hold regular family support days here at the hospice for all our Jigsaw families. The day is filled with activities centred around the children and young adults as well as classes for parents and carers.

The events also allow parents, siblings and carers to look around Jigsaw and see how we care for their child.
