Players, coaches and families from a local junior football club have walked more than 900 miles to help the care, support and activities provided at Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice.
Trustees from Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice have marked Volunteers Week 2020 by launching their own fundraising challenge.
During Volunteers Week a local hospice are encouraging the local community to get in touch and find out more about volunteering.
During Volunteers Week, Monday 1 to Sunday 7 June, a Carlisle based hospice would love to say a huge ‘thank you’ to their wonderful volunteers.
A local man is using his daily exercise during lockdown to run every day and help the care, support and activities provided by Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice.
In late April a local woman completed her very own 2.6 challenge to help the care, support and activities provided by Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice.

Dying Matters Week, is a national awareness campaign, which provides organisations with the opportunity to talk about death, dying and bereavement.
A local man completed more than 900 circuits of his house to help the care and support provided at Eden Valley Hospice during these challenging times.
A local charity is encouraging people to make the most of their time outdoors by completing a mile every day in May to help the care, support and compassion provided to local people.
