Cumbrian businesses find out what makes a Great Place to Work

On Valentine’s Day businesses from across Cumbria joined together for an afternoon of networking, hearing what makes a great place to work and discovering more about Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice.
The informative afternoon was hosted by Impact International at Merewood Hotel, Windermere and included a panel discussion, group activity and a cream tea. Along with bringing businesses together, the event was aimed at introducing Jigsaw, Impact’s Charity of the Year, to south Cumbria.
During the event Grant Seaton from the Cumberland Building Society explained why he chose to support Jigsaw and how he raised money to Pay For a Day of Jigsaw care. In total he raised enough money to pay for 3 days of care at the Cumbrian charity.
Natalie Bingham Corporate Relationship Co-ordinator at Jigsaw said;
‘’We would love to say a massive thank you to the whole team at Impact for hosting this wonderful event. It was a brilliant day and it was great to see so many businesses there from south of the County supporting it. Grant is such an inspiration and it was a real privilege listening to his story and why he chose to fundraise in aid of Jigsaw.’’
