Bank staff walk along Hadrian’s Wall for the Hospice
- Monday, 11 January 2016
Members of staff from the NatWest Business banking team followed in the footsteps of over 2,000 years of history by walking along a section of Hadrian’s Wall and raising over £600 for the Hospice.
The NatWest employees from Cumbria walked 18 miles along Hadrian’s Wall to raise money in aid of the local charity. The walk took the team of fundraisers 8 hours to complete as they crossed some very challenging terrain which tested the group.
John Cairns, Area Director for Cumbria, “The team enjoyed the challenge of the walk in the knowledge that monies raised were going to such a great cause.”
The £615 raised by the group of fundraising walkers will help Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw to provide the highest standards of care, support and activities to local adults and children with life limiting illnesses. This care and compassion is extended to all of the patients’ families, friends and carers.
