Do you want to use your skills and experience to make a real difference to the care and support offered to people in our community?
Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice cares for adults, children and young people with life-shortening conditions, and their families.
It is an exciting time for our hospice team as we plan how we will develop over the next five years. We are pleased to be recruiting new Trustees to join our hospice team.
We are keen to attract people from a broad range of backgrounds with a variety of skills and recent experience, specifically in the following areas:
· Clinical professionals who have worked / are working in a registered role.
· Finance professionals.
· Individuals who have worked / are working with direct budget responsibility.
· People who reflect the diversity of the communities that we support.
As a Trustee, you will join the Board in ensuring that the charity maintains and develops its services to our communities, is well run, and meets its legal and financial obligations.
We have a strong values-based ethos, which drives the approach we take to the work that we do. With your fellow Trustees and the Senior Management Team, you will help to shape the hospice’s strategic direction.
You will share our passion for ensuring that Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw continues to provide an outstanding level of care to our community.
The board meets at least four times a year and is responsible for the overall governance and strategic development of the hospice. As well as attending Board meetings, Trustees also sit on more focused sub-committees and act as ambassadors for the hospice at community events and are expected to complete online and face to face training.
Informal discussions can be arranged with the Chief Executive and/or Chair of the Board, before the selection process, by contacting peopleservices@edenvalleyhospice.org
Closing date: 5pm, Tuesday 14th November
