Administrative Assistant (Fundraising)

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic person to provide full administrative support within our busy fundraising office.  You will be supporting the team working towards the annual Income Generation target of £3.4 million that is needed to keep the hospice services running.

You will proactively assist with data input and the management of our donor database, and contribute to system developments whilst taking responsibility for recording donations, acknowledgements and event registrations.  This is a varied role that communicates  with stakeholders across the organisation, and as the first point of contact for the public who are looking to support the hospice you should be comfortable speaking with a wide range of people including those who may be bereaved.

To be successful in the role you will need to have strong IT skills, with the ability to organise and input data in an accurate and timely manner.  You will need excellent communication skills and demonstrate the ability to work calmly and methodically when pressing deadlines emerge.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with very occasional evening and weekend working to support fundraising events.

Salary: £20,397 per annum
