Do you have a passion for retail and want to work for an organisation where your hard work and dedication will have a direct impact on patient care provision to local children and adults?
We’re looking to recruit a Shop Supervisor role to cover both planned and unplanned absences. You’ll work across our 3 Carlisle shops and/or our Penrith site. The great benefit about being a bank Shop Supervisor is the flexibility it provides for both you and the charity.
The organisation is seeking to appoint a retail supervisor to:
• Support the Retail Operation in raising income for Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice through our portfolio of charity shops, including our e-commerce offering, by maximising sales and increasing profitability in line with budgets.
• Deliver a high-quality retail service, including excellent customer service, to agreed performance targets and to ensure appropriate standards of stock control, security, health and safety and trading standards regulations are met within the premises.
• With the support of the Shop Manager, ensure the efficient and effective leadership of a team of volunteers, encouraging effective communication, initiating work plans and helping to foster a positive team spirit through regular team meetings
We are a local charity dedicated to providing specialist care to adults from the local area and children throughout Cumbria, as well as caring for their families, friends and carers. It takes over £4.1 million per year to run Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice with over £3.2 million being raised through voluntary donations and fundraising activities.
